State of Georgia Requires Motorists to have Auto Insurance Coverage

There are two types of coverages for car insurance in Decatur GA, liability and physical damage. Liability coverage is mandatory in the state of Georgia, whereas, physical damage is optional. Although physical damage is not a requirement, most lending institutions, such as banks and finance companies require full coverage if there is an outstanding loan. Insurance carriers offer two kinds of physical damage coverages, comprehensive and collision. The comprehensive policy is probably advantageous for the insured because it covers robbery, vandalism, and fire damages. Collision policy compensates the insured for at fault accidents or accidents caused by uninsured motorists.
